Aliwaza is an independent think tank in Nairobi, working across Africa and internationally. We turn careful research and open debate into clear, usable advice for the people who shape policy.
01About
Aliwaza brings together researchers, practitioners and policy experts to study the questions that matter most for Kenya, East Africa and the continent, and to say plainly what the evidence suggests.
We work with governments, multilateral partners, civil society and the private sector. Some of our work is published openly; some is advisory and confidential. All of it is rooted in local knowledge and held to an international standard of rigour.
To produce independent, evidence-led thinking that helps African institutions and their partners make better decisions.
